Construction (Carpentry)

A practical Skills Bootcamp delivered by Forum for Sustainable New Venture. The focus is Carpentry, with partner employers also offering roles in Scaffolding, Plumbing, and Painting & Decorating. It’s short, flexible training with hands-on learning and clear pathways to interviews, apprenticeships and jobs.

What is a Skills Bootcamp?

Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses for eligible Londoners aged 19+ that help you build job-ready skills and progress quickly into work. Funded by the Mayor of London and the Department for Education (Skills for Life).

Course Facts – Carpentry Trades into Construction (Level 2)

  • Duration: 10 weeks (part-time, approximately 3 days per week)
  • Delivery: Blended (in-person workshops + online learning)
  • Tutor-led hours (GLH): 180 total (144 in-person; 36 online)
  • Location: BLOQS, 2 Anthony Way, London N18 3QT
  • Starts: Next cohorts from January 2026
  • Weekly time: 8–12 hours

Eligibility

  • 19+
  • Living in London
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Not in full-time education
